We would like to officially announce our CALL FOR ENTRIES for the
1st Annual Lake Charles Film Festival!
Our categories are: Feature Film, Documentary, Short Film, Foreign Film, Home Grown, and Student Film.
- Feature Film: any narrative film (live action or animated) over 40 minutes in length.
- Documentary: any length
- Short Film: any narrative film (live action or animated) under 40 minutes in length.
- Foreign Film: any film (feature or short) by a non-American director shot in another country.
- Home Grown: any film by a Louisiana director shot in Louisiana.
- Student Film: any type of film (feature, documentary, short, music video, experimental) (can be live action or animated and any length)
All films must have been completed on or after 1 January 2010. Films may be entered in multiple categories with a seperate entry fee for each. (example: a short film shot in Louisiana by a Louisiana student director can enter the Short Film category, the Home Grown category, and the Student Film category.)
Early Bird entry - Must be received by May 1, 2012

Prizes!!!
There will be a cash prize for "Best of Show" Feature (which can be a feature length entry from any category) and there will be a cash prize for "Best of Show" Short (which can be a short length entry from any category.) The 1st place winner from each category will be the films competing for the "Best of Show" award.
